OYT, established in 1980, was conceived with a mission to provide cutting-edge engineering solutions to meet the diverse communication requirements of both civil and military sectors.

OYT was established in 1980 with the primary goal of providing engineering services for civil and military communications applications. Initially focused on supplying and integrating communication systems for the Turkish Armed Forces and NATO, the company expanded its expertise in subsequent years. Benefiting from its engineering infrastructure, OYT became a key business partner for international companies involved in civil and defense industry projects starting in the 1990s. The company has successfully executed numerous integration projects, including maritime traffic monitoring and control systems, meteorological radar systems, and ship navigation radar systems.

Over the years, OYT has diversified its capabilities, particularly in communication systems. Initiating Research and Development (R&D) efforts in the early 2010s, supported by TÜBİTAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey), the company has excelled in designing redundant and real-time voice and data communication systems, becoming one of the few globally that specialize in radio systems integration and IP-based network technologies. OYT now boasts a wide array of voice and data communication systems exported to four continents.

Beyond communication systems, OYT is among the few domestic companies capable of integrating civil and military aviation systems in accordance with international standards. Active participation in organizations such as EUROCAE, FAA, and EUROCONTROL underscores the company's commitment to contributing to the establishment of industry standards.

In 2015, OYT ventured into the field of renewable energy technologies, focusing on solar power plants (SPP) and the production of solar tracking systems. The company continues to invest in its Solar Power Plant portfolio and aims to increase its electricity generation capacity significantly in the coming years.

Determined to uphold its competitive position in both domestic and international markets, ONUR places a strong emphasis on in-depth expertise across all its operational domains. The company's commitment to research and innovation is evident in its registered R&D center, acknowledged with an award in the "R&D and INNOVATION" category by the Ankara Chamber of Industry in 2023.

Serving esteemed organizations such as the Ministry of Defense (SSB), Air Forces Command, Naval Forces Command, Coast Guard Command, ASELSAN, TAI, Turkish ANSP (DHMI), State Railways (TCDD), and various international aviation institution.

OYT has maintained a successful 44-year operational history. The company attributes its sustained growth to its people-oriented processes and dynamic organizational structure.

CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE

Since the establishment of our company, our ways of doing business have also changed along with the changing dynamics of our country. In our early years, we gained experience in the defense sector by working with companies doing business with NATO. In the following years, we improved our integration capabilities within the framework of collaborations with foreign companies in various projects. After a while, this process made us one of the integrator companies that meets the needs of Turkish Air Forces Command as a main contractor, especially in the field of air traffic control systems. Following the breakthrough we made in 2005 in developing our own products, we have become one of the very few companies that have the competence to work with the Presidency of Defense Industry Agency (SSB) as a main contractor today.
Innovation and change need to be an endless and continuous cycle. While institutions and individuals that can keep up with change are successful, those that remain behind cannot experience this dynamism and cannot show continuity. In our corporate history of more than 43 years, we have always invested in people. We have considered our company’s workforce to be our family members and included them into decision-making processes. Thanks to this corporate stance, we have included many of our valuable friends who have been working in the sector for many years to our institution. I believe that in the coming period, we will maintain our position as the preferred institution in the sector with our participatory culture, corporate structure and human resources policies and practices that we will develop.

2023

ILS/DME Project

One of the world's leading air navigation services providers, DHMİ, has chosen OYT for the procurement and installation of ILS/DME systems at 5 airports.
2022

FAA APC Project

FAA, the air navigation services provider for over half of the world's airspace, has chosen OYT VCS solutions to be used at their R&D Center.
2020

First Export

OYT signed a contract for the delivery of 5 VCS and VRS systems with the Moroccan air navigation services provider ONDA. This was ONUR's first project abroad.
2019

Sahil-Net Deniz Project

Turkish Coast Guard selected OYT for network backed communication needs.
2019

DHMİ VCS/VRS Procurement

DHMİ has selected OYT for its first domestic VCS and VRS procurement project. OYT's systems are the first ED-137 compliant ones that the DHMİ has ever purchased.
2016

Venturing into Renewable Energy Technologies

In alignment with its commitment to renewable energy, ONUR undertook the construction of solar power plants in Kahramanmaraş and Osmaniye. During this initiative, the company designed and constructed the largest power plants in Turkey equipped with a state-of-the-art tracking system.
2015

First UAV- Specific VCS

OYT designed and developed the world's first UAV-specific VCS for ANKA.
2015

HSTA Project

As part of the "Air Defence Radio System" project, the Turkish Air Forces purchased the first and only domestically-made voice communications systems from OYT.
2012

Meteorological Radar Systems

C-BAND Doppler Radar Stations belonging to the Turkish State Meteorological Service were built at 13 different locations. All construction and system integration was done by OYT.
2008

22 Radar Systems with ARPA and LPI Capabilities

OYT completed the installation and integration of ARPA and LPI radar systems on 22 Turkish Navy Ships, in collaboration with the Italian firm GEM ELECTRONICA.
2005

Ship Traffic Control System

OYT completed the installation and integration of the Ship Traffic Control and Management Systems built on İstanbul and Çanakkale straits.
2001

Mobile Air Traffic Control Towers for the Turkish Air Forces

OYT designed and manufactured two Mobile Air Traffic Control Towers which are still in use by the Turkish Air Force.
1998

SSSB (Ship Shore Ship Buffer), TASMO (Tactical Air Support for Maritime Operations) and ADCAB Projects

OYT built antennas and stations for creating a communication infrastructure allowing long distance coordination between Air Force platforms and ships, as part of a NATO project.
1995

TAFICS Fiber Optic Cable Network

As part of the Turkish Armed Forces Integrated Communication Systems project aiming to allow the Turkish Armed Forces to have its own secure communications network, OYT completed a 1200km fiber optic cable network, becoming the first domestic player of this sector.

Founding

Our company was founded in 1980 in Ankara and completed the electronical systems of the Turkish Armed Forces Command Center within its first few years.

VOICE COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

OYT possesses an extensive portfolio of internationally recognized and competitive IP-based, as well as next-generation products, a testament to years of self-funded Research and Development (R&D) endeavors. These products are currently deployed in various civil and military projects, demonstrating their efficacy both domestically and internationally.

DATA COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

Building on its established leadership in the voice communication systems domain, the company strategically expanded its operations into the Data Communication Systems sector in 2016. As a culmination of numerous Research and Development (R&D) projects conducted, the company has successfully developed a comprehensive product line encompassing integrated voice and data communication products. Since 2024, the company has strategically shifted its focus towards actively promoting and marketing these products on the international stage, aiming to enhance its market share and establish a stronger presence in the global market.

Through the successful development and completion of products in both sectors, tailored to meet additional customer needs and demands, the offerings have evolved to be increasingly well-suited for operational environments.

The company consistently modernizes its product line by actively engaging in numerous Research and Development (R&D) projects, thereby continually introducing new products to enhance its offerings.

COLLABORATIONS WITH ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS

OYT has been conferred with the esteemed designation of "R&D Center" by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, subject to annual audits to uphold this recognition.

The company places a premium on pioneering product development, actively pursuing patents and copyrights through extensive collaborations with academic institutions.

In alignment with the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) framework, the Company's Research and Development (R&D) activities span from TRL-1 (Basic principles observed) to TRL-9 (Actual system proven in operational environment, competitive manufacturing in the case of key enabling technologies, or in space).

OYT strategically engages in collaborations with academic institutions for activities occurring between TRL-1 and TRL-4 (Technology validated in the lab), ensuring a comprehensive and rigorous developmental process.
