ONUR and GEM ELETTRONICA S.r.l. of Italy have partnered for Turkish MOD’s project for the provision of 22 each Automatic Radar Plotting Aid (ARPA) and Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) Navigation Radars. The contract has been signed in October 2005, and ONUR acts as the subcontractor responsible for installation and integration of new equipment with the existing onboard systems on Turkish Navy Frigates.
ONUR’s co-operation with GEM in Turkey extends further to systems such as Under-water / Above-water Surveillance and Detection Systems, Automatic Identification Systems (AIS), Gyro Compass and Electronic Nautical Charts Display and Information Systems (ECDIS).
