UNDERGROUND FIBER OPTIC CABLE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM FOR TURKISH ARMED FORCES
With a series of contracts signed with Turkish Telecom’s NATO Department between 1990 and 1997, ONUR co-operated with ERICSSON SIELTE S.p.A. for realization of the underground fiber optic cable networks for Turkish Armed Forces. A total of around 1,200 Kilometers of Fiber Optic Cable had been laid by ONUR along Ankara – Konya – Pozanti, Ankara – Kirikkale, Ankara – Eskisehir – Istanbul routes.
Within the scope of these projects, ONUR carried out all local works; i.e. trenching, underground constructions, pipe laying, cable laying, cable jointing and termination, installation of terminal equipment, testing, commissioning, acceptances, service and maintenance during warranty period.
